News reports are full of snow and floods at the moment.
I hope everyone is keeping safe and well during this spell of bad weather.

Fairly miserable here on south coast. Dull, overcast, cold and damp. Not actually raining, but almost.

The weather here on the Lizard has been bloody awful since Christmas.  It has either been Polar bears in the garden, persisting down with rain, fog or gusting force 10.

We had some snow, then it went to typical weather for the time of year grey with rain.


Today has been sunny and I now have a headache brewing pfffft

Hope you managed to shake that headache off quickly - they are just so annoying...

No snow here, but seems to be cold for a few days, then mild with rain and wind, then cold again, then mild... a body doesn't know whether it's coming or going :/

Choc cake, I agree weather is flip flopping. As for Boris and his mob whenever somebody mentions it I picture his cabinet as a bunch of headless chickens led by a big cock.

Unfortunately I see no evidence that the Kier flock would do any better.

I'm not impressed by Kier either which is such a shame as I believe a good Labour leader could mean a labour government at the next election as I know a few die hard Conservatives who have had enough of the current government who would vote differently if they believed in another leader enough. I don't think Kier will do that. Mind, he's a vast improvement on Corbyn.

It's grey and dull here. Tomorrow the roofers arrive to start replacing the roof. I am prepared and have the blinds pulled down and I have dark pillowcases sellotaped across the upstairs toilet window as men on the scaffolding is going to creep me out so it will be dark inside for the duration and I will have no idea what the weather is doing!

We keep being told how mild it is this week, but I'm still using the central heating twice a day ..

I've hated having men on the roof all week though they're gone by 2pm. I managed to sleep through it on and off though as low cortisol causes hypersomnia which when you're feeling as rough as I have is quite nice. I was told the roof would be complete by today but my heating came on and it's cold in the house so I feel part of the roof must still be missing.

I hope the builders aren't leaving too much mess and will be finished soon.

Today is the second lovely sunny day in a row. My husband has even chanced putting some washing on the line! The first time this year I think. And I heard a very short dawn chorus early this morning. Spring is on the way
