Guaranteed Slug Killer

1/2 pint boiling water in very large jug or bucket.
Add 1 tablespoon of honey (or you could use sugar)
Mix together until honey has melted.
Add 1 pint cold water, stir.
Add 2 level tablespoons Allinson Dried Active Yeast, whisk until disolved. Whisking is much more efficient than stirring.

Sink containers into the earth - these containers need to be shallow enough for the slugs to climb in, but deep enough for the slugs not to get out.

Add 1" of mixture.

Go out at about 10pm and you will find loads of slugs heading towards the mixture - if not already in it.  Dispose of slugs accordingly.

Next morning there will be lots of slugs in there too.

Dispose of accordingly.

This really works as I tried it out last night.

I'm may try a garlic recipe next time to see how that works as slugs apparently do not like garlic - but I am not keen on my garden smelling of garlic.
