Yvette, I certainly agree with most of your list and I would add goats and llama to mine - plus dogs, of course.

I'm definitely with you on the cats. I also have a soft spot for Antarctic penguins. It's difficult not to admire how superbly adapted they are to surviving in such a cruel environment.

I was going to add penguins to my list as well after watching BBC1's 'Spy in the Huddle' following the fortunes of three different types of these birds;  they just seem so human at times!

Cats go without saying, of course....

Cats of all kinds, mainly because nothing does lazy like a cat. There is a great trail for BBC HD TV showing a lion in the grassland relaxing with its legs spread eagled while zebras feed in the background.

Dogs doze, cats turn sleep into an art form.

Driving on a country road the other day happened to glance up at the hedgerow and saw a Buzzard just perched on a branch watching the traffic go bye just looked so cool.

Hippo

Alpaca

Ducks

Manatees

And dogs, of course, in particular my much beloved basset hounds.

John, I think buzzards are magnificent.  We have many more in this area now than when I was a child and can now be seen quite regularly.

I love birds of prey too, we often see buzzards here - either circling around in the air or sitting on top of lamp-posts  >biggrin<

That programme was brilliant

I actually sat still for the whole hour each time i watched it ( i fidget a lot, due to pain)

Was it the last one last night or do we have more ?

I recorded last night's, so no spoilers  ;-)

There's a final episode next week (I presume same time, same day)  >thumbsup<

Ooh, I forgot to say how much I like squirrels, given that I've befriended a group of them in my local park by regular feeding of peanuts!

Least Liked Wild: Larus argentatus or Screachy Pooey Winged Devil Herring Gull!

You mean the 'rats with wings'  >biggrin<  (and I mean the wild sewer rats rather than the lovable tame creatures, of course)
