An Anthem for the Spoon Army

We are Spartacus
Righteous is our cause
To push back our oppressors
To give the faithless pause.

We fight not for glory,
Nor for accolades,
Simply for the right to live
When health and vigour fade.

We've paid into the system
We've made our contributions
We deserve the right to life
Without vile retributions

We are the spoon army
Fighting for existence
We may all be low on spoons
But, Lord, we have persistence.

Some of us have found our voices
Fighting this injustice
We speak for those who just cannot
Much though they would wish.

No more will we be silenced,
We won't be swept away,
Or forced to die in misery
We WILL have our say.

We have to make them hear us,
To hear our song of truth,
This rampant weed of prejudice
Must be killed at the root.

Lords and MPs hear us,
We're frail but we are legion,
You swore you'd protect the vulnerable
You're not - so what's the reason?

We are Spartacus
Righteous is our cause
To push back our oppressors
To give the faithful claws!

Lords and MP's hear us
We're frail but we are legion
You swore you'd protect the weak
You're not - so what's the reason?

I just remembered this which i wrote in May - seems more suited now than it did then.

Some of us have found their voices
Fighting this injustice
They speak for us who just cannot
Much though we would want to.

We no longer will be silenced
We won't be swept away
or forced to die in misery
We must have our say

We must make them hear us
Hear our song  of truth
this rampant weed of prejudice
must be killed at the root.

Any suggestions as to reworking it?

How about this:

For the Spoon Arny

We are Spartacus
Righteous is our cause
To push back our oppressors
To give the faithless pause

We fight not for glory
Nor for accolades
Simply for the right to live
When health and vigor fade.

We've paid into the system
We've made our contributions
We deserve the right to life
Without vile retributions

We are the spoon army
Fighting for existence
We may all be low on spoons
But,  Lord, we have persistence.

Some of us have found our voices
Fighting this injustice
We speak for those who just cannot
Much though they would want to.

No longer  will we be silenced
We won't be swept away
or forced to die in misery
We will have our say

We have to make them hear us
To hear our song  of truth,
this rampant weed of prejudice
must be killed off at the root.

Lords and MP's hear us
We're frail but we are legion
You swore you'd protect the vulnerable
You're not - so what's the reason?

We are Spartacus
Righteous is our cause
To push back our oppressors
To give the faithful claws!

Simply for the right to live

Hello Tony/Debs

I was thinking we need (a pop group dressed as roman soldier's) + hold a demonstration out side the English parliment then arrange a demo outside the dasterdly EU commisson in Brussel's
