Sorry for messing up the link, bad pain the past couple of days, so dose up to the gills and typing backwards for some strange reason and not helped by the dyslexia either.
Hopefully this update from Saturday's Inde will add more.

Anyway - the important thing about this link is that the disabled people won their case - their Council has been ordered by the Judge to drop the changes they were imposing due to the cuts and to return to their old criteria for whether or not someone gets personal care .... at least until the Case goes to the Appeal Court.

As I understand it the Council argued that they ONLY need to consider health & safety issues in deciding whether or not to pay for care and the Judge told them very firmly that they MUST also take into account whether or not the change has an impact on the disabled person's QUALITY of life.   If the appeal court supports that decision, it's a huge win and could allow us to overturn most of the cuts to personal care provision.

regards, Deb

Well put.
The Judge certainly took that more into consideration than the council would have wanted.

Chances are that the judge in  this case will soon find themself retired (no doubt on health grounds) by order of the government. Governments such as the one in place will not tolerate anyone mucking up their plans no matter who they be.
