What your cats or dogs have brought home to you

Our black cat used to bring willow twigs through the cat bathroom cat flap when he was young. The other day he upped his game and brought a sprung mouse trap home and I did wonder if he got himself a pet mouse.

Sunshine, I've never had a cat. I wonder where the mouse trap came from? How curious!

One of our previous dogs once peeled off a very dead, very dehydrated, old, manky, rat from the tarmac in the lane and insisted on walking all the way home with it. He was so proud of his trophy and couldn't wait to get home 
I wouldn't let him indoors with it. We found bits and pieces of it in the garden. Assume he ate the rest. Disgusting creature! The dog that is!

My cat is a house cat and doesn't go outside but she does pick up her toys one by one and toss them to me.  it's like "c'mon, play with me" and if I don't play I'd be under a pile of toys in 10 mins.  she's got more toys than a kid.

I've had house cats for the past 20 years too, living in a block where I don't have a door direct to the outside, but in my previous home there was such a door and therefore a catflap could be installed for Misty - my very first feline friend.  She loved catching birds and I was used to coming back to a scattering of feathers all over the floor, but the worst was when she somehow pushed a dead bird under the fridge.  I only found it by pure accident - and in a relatively fresh state - when defrosting and cleaning the appliance (which included pulling it out to tackle the dust underneath).  If I hadn't chosen that particular time to do this chore, the smell would have surely alerted me in the end!  Doesn't bear thinking about

I live in a street where the gardens back onto other gardens so there are allsorts of hidey holes our black cat could have found the mouse trap in.   at your dog finding at consuming ripe rat jerky.

The ones under kitchen appliances can be the worst especially when found by touch.


I recently saw a video wherein a woman comes home to pigeon all over the hall and sitting room, shouts at her cat and then tells the cat that is sitting quietly on some laundry ' and you YOU YOU D'ONT even   live here.' That cat pauses then runs straight at the woman
