A week alone?  How did you get on with that generally, apart from managing to keep the dogs away from places you didn't want them to be?

A warning if you track your pets, or 'Where Eagles Dare!'.

I find the tracks facinating.

There's also a lesson there, though - don't attach mobile phone technology to feathered friends...

It did not start off as a week alone so I managed day to day by living a very small life, not doing housework and going to bed early etc. I did deplete my stock of cereal bars and crisps. Mr Sunshine's Dad was rushed to hospital and the family were not coping so withing an hour of the phone call Mr Sunshine was on the road to Wales. We thought it was going to be a few days because a similar thing happened last year hmmmf then again looking back it grew to a week last year too.
I did post on Facebook and had a bunch of friends making me feel less alone, some live near enough to enact operation save Sunshine :-) I was lucky it hit on a week that I was physically and mentally more well than usual.

It is a good link to Russian eagles ta daa  >thumbsup<

Just think though - at least the tiredness was a direct result of getting a good job done  >thumbsup<

H3llo SteveX

I agree with you football is over rated when I was an able bodied school boy I felt like a  very embarrassed chasing a bag of wind trying to avoid 19 other board school boy's in what seemed like a vast emptiness of a foot ball pitch

I saw a curious thing yesterday which got me wondering what the story behind it might be.

A lone elbow crutch propped up against the bus stop at the end of my road. Who would leave a crutch behind?

I don't know of any body who uses a crutch in my road; only one white cane user and a couple of walking stick users including me. Odd.

I wondered why the house had been cold for the past week, then I remembered to close the "damper" on the back boiler in the chimney above the fireplace. (Can only be done with a cold fireplace.)
Warm as toast yesterday evening.

It took you a week of freezing weather to figure that out, Lankou? ;-)

OldTone, perhaps the crutch-wearer had a DWP-style miraculous recovery :-D

It has been colder here for longer that in the 36 years we have lived here.

If so it must be catching as this morning I spotted a lone walking stick at another bus stop.

Curious.

I have a sleep disorder and get very realistic, vivid dreams and hallucinations and often have to ask my husband if something actually or not! Anyway, I thought I had left my crutches behind after we had been for a night out.
Apparently we hadn't been out. We haven't had a night out in a couple of years, and my husband walked in with my crutches and reassured me that they were perfectly safe in their usual place!
I like a much more adventurous life in my sleep, even if it does get confused with reality!

Oldtone,

Maybe these are clues to a mystery only you can solve. They are parts of a puzzle left deliberately for you.

Keep your eyes peeled for more.

Be vigilant.

The original crutch has now gone from its bus stop.

I was wondering, given the strange times we are living in, does the coronavirus have healing powers allowing the lame (if that word is allowed these days) to walk again or maybe just makes people more forgetful?
