Hi folks

apparently this clip of a young man who's a student at the university of oxford has "gone viral":

I am impressed he is using actual drums and not 'electronic' drum pads (sorry I dont know what they are called.

Drummers are usually the fittest person in a band as they move about so much.  Some of them do weight-training just to keep up night after night.

I'm jolly glad that this chap has found something that he is interested in and that he has talent for.  He can now express himself through the music.

And I am jolly glad that I do not live next-door. >steam<

I once tried a drum kit and to my surprise I could do it - both arms and feet doing something different all at the same time.  Sadly the pain was something awful and I stopped after a very short time.  It felt great whilst I was doing it.

Wow, I hadn't seen that before, thats excellent :)

I used to drum and yes, its VERY physical and as my health got worse, well lets say now I can't reliably keep hold of the sticks, I am a tad dangerous (duck!). It's loads of fun and I wish I had somewhere to keep my kit (its on long term loan to a good friend!), its a great stress buster!

Welcome to the boards, WiddlingDiddling, your username makes me  >biggrin<

Whenever people talk about drumming (assuming it's a home pursuit)  I always wonder - have they got exceptionally tolerant or totally stone-deaf neighbours  ;-)
