a bit of light relief for campaigners?
« on: 13 Jan 2012 09:59PM »
Radio4 earlier, the News Quiz had a bit about Welfare Reform.
'Tis a programme with comedians & such making jokes & satirical comments about the week's news, for those who haven't heard it - today one of the news items talked about was WRB, very much taking the p*** out of the plans and laughing at the people who could be so ridiculous as to plan to take money from disabled children, etc.
Sarcastic in the extreme, the words used were saying "good for them" but the tone was anything but supportive of govt plans....

Yes, I heard most of this and laughed quite a lot too.

So it got onto the BBC radio after all, and at peak listening time too.

It can be found on iplayer here:

There's 6 days left to listen again.

The relevant bit is quite near the beginning if I remember correctly.

Great! Once comedians begin to take notice of something, then it's not long before before it filters into the public consciousness.  >thumbsup<
